Wisdoms and Art

About The Art Gallery

Welcome to my personal art gallery! Here, you will find a thoughtfully curated collection of pieces from close friends and acquaintances, from vintage thrift stores' dusty corners, from artists whose only hindrance to the global recognition they deserve is the impoverished conditions in which they are forced to thrive.

For full disclosure: I am not an artist and art is not technically my “niche.” I simply consider myself a philosophical storyteller and writer who just happens to cook and garden.

But as I immersed into the history of each work of art...be it a classic piece hanging in a world-renowned museum, or a custom piece from a friend, or an underrated cultural piece from an unknown artist from the most hidden corner of the Earth...I find myself mesmerized by the unique story each artifact embodies, but more importantly, how they unknowingly interweave, not just in the context of "art," but in the unspoken language of human interconnectivity, transcending borders, space, and time.  At our core, we are meant to create beauty.

It is my goal to one day open my own art gallery and fill it with the arts from people I know, arts from the poorest villages, arts that carry cultural traditions that are on the verge of extinction, arts from talents who never would have been given a chance simply because of where they live.

But for now, the best I can do is share with you these treasures through my virtual gallery. So let's gather together "under the squash vines," and engulf ourselves in the wisdoms and stories that these works of art have to tell.
