The Bougainvilleas and Childhood Contemplations

I almost cried when I saw this breathtaking painting pop up on my feed and knew I had to reach out to the incredibly talented artist, who is based in Vietnam.

The Bougainvilleas centerpiece looks just like the ones my maternal grandfather planted at our old house in Vietnam.

I spent many afternoons resting on the balcony hammock, staring at the Bougainvillea vines tracing gracefully along the worn white sidings, papery thin pink and white petals gently fluttering with the summer breeze.

I guess you could say those were my meditating moments. Even as a child, I spent many hours just gazing into Nature while contemplating random questions and life observations.  As you can see, not much has changed.
