Our Relationship with the Land

“In indigenous agriculture, the practice is to modify the plants to fit the land,” as opposed to modifying the land to fit the plants. - referenced from “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer

Having a a relationship with the land means knowing I am first and foremost her steward, not her owner, despite what a piece of paper says. The land and I have a reciprocal relationship. I care for her and all her creatures, and she gives me abundance in return.
