My dad always said that he wants "home" to be a place his children can come back to when they're tired, when life knocks them down, when they need a place to rest.  And that was my inspiration when I created "Under the Squash Vines."  The "squash vines" could be a physical place of sanctuary, or it can be a virtual sanctuary—when you're burnt out from the endless hustle of life, when you just can't listen to one more cliché "motivational" speaker, when you finally realize that the relentless chase you've been after is returning nothing but more relentless chase... that is when you come back to the squash vines—for repose, for reflections, for wisdoms.
